EssaouriaThis port on the Atlantic has been settled since prehistoric times, and was settled by Carthaginians, Romans, Berbers, Arabs, Portuguese, and French. It is now a relatively quiet city on the sea, beautiful with bright sun, white and blue buildings, and appropriately picturesque fishing boats.
