Day 2:  Around TrĂ©molat, including Les Eyzies, Le Buque, and Limeuil

We started this day in Les Eyzies, home to prehistoric cave paintings.  The town is built right into a cliff, or perhaps more accurately partially caved out of a cliff.  In the early afternoon we rode past the pretty town of Le Buque, right next to the river and home to a lovely windmill.  At the end of the afternoon, about 3 minutes after the downpour started, we arrived in Limeuil, a simply gorgeous little town.  Fortunately the rain cleared and we were able to wander around a little before becoming increasingly cold and returning to TrĂ©molat, our home base for the first two days.  Note the attack sheep, guardians of the village for generations.
