Paris: Bastille March VersionOn our way to South Africa, we had a long layover in Paris one beautiful July day. ML insisted that we take the bus into the city and enjoy a walk from the Étoile to Île de la Cité. Where by “enjoy” what she really meant was “hike with full pack in high summer”. She also insisted on buying 3 tins of Mariage thé to carry around Africa for a few weeks to season them. Fortunately we returned to Paris multiple times since when it wasn’t 30+ degrees.
